Mini-elephant ears in gorgeous deep green contrasted with camo-like splashes or wide swaths of mint, cream and white variegation. Alocasia Frydek Variegata puts up narrow, heart-shaped leaves with a luxurious velvety soft texture, bordered by veins that mature into a thick and seemingly glowing white.

Variegation is caused by a rare cell mutation that produces a random array of lighter colored patterns on leaves owing to an absence of chlorophyll in some parts, making each leaf a surprise waiting to unfurl.
