An essential when growing Aroids like Monstera and Philodendrons. Well-liked for its tremendous moisture-holding capacity, which is capable of absorbing 20 times its weight in water. This allows the plants to grow with constant moisture (but not saturated), while also allowing exposure to air.

Advantages:

  • Water-retaining yet airy
  • Antiseptic properties due to the phenolic compound called “Sphagnol", which helps the plant resist diseases and parasites
  • Light and compressed when in dry-form allowing for easy storage

Applications:

  • Filling up moss pole holders to create moss poles for Aroids to climb and thrive
  • Potting medium for moisture-loving plants
  • Mulching on soil surface to retain moisture
  • Propagating plant cuttings

Directions for Use:

Break out a portion of moss and soak it in water for a minimum of 30 minutes. After the moss has been rehydrated, remove it and place it into a pot or moss pole. Store the remaining unused moss in an air-tight bag/ container that is cool and dry.
